Job summary

Revolutional is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst – Tier 2 to safeguard VA digital assets and respond to cyber threats. You will support the Incident Response team in investigating advanced incidents, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and refining playbooks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of incident response in enterprise SOC.
• Strong understanding of incident response methodologies and proactive SOC operations.

Responsibilities

• Real-time monitoring and triage of security alerts in SIEM/EDR toolsets.
• Determine false positives vs. needs further investigation and prioritization.
• Lead investigations and remediation for cybersecurity incidents; analyze root causes.
• Document incident response activities in detail and update playbooks with lessons learned.
• Collaborate with forensics, threat intel, IT, and network admins; communicate updates clearly to stakeholders.
• Tune alerts to improve SOC efficiency and reduce noise.
• Monitor analytics and automation performance; implement improvements.
• Utilize SOAR to automate enrichment, containment, and remediation actions.
• Mentor and train junior IR staff; stay current on threats and best practices.
