Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners LLC is seeking an AI Prompt Engineer in Raleigh, NC for a 12-month contract with a hybrid on-site schedule (3 days/week). The role focuses on applying Generative AI to security testing, threat analysis, and vulnerability research, emphasizing execution and rapid iteration alongside security and engineering teams.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on AI/Large Language Model experience, strong programming skills (Python/Go/.NET), and a solid cybersecurity background

Qualifications

• Hands-on with Generative AI and LLMs.
• Design and implement advanced prompts for technical use cases.
• Build AI frameworks, prompt workflows, or model interaction layers.
• Strong cybersecurity foundation including vulnerabilities, threat analysis, and defensive practices.
• Familiarity with SAST, DAST, pen-testing, or vulnerability assessments.
• Software development experience with Python, Go, or .NET.
• Evaluate model outputs and improve performance via testing.
• Understand network and application security principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced prompts to boost AI performance for cybersecurity applications.
• Create and maintain AI harnesses to support testing, research, and security analysis.
• Improve prompt effectiveness through benchmarking and iterative refinement.
• Support AI-driven vulnerability identification and risk assessment initiatives.
• Analyze outputs from large language models to identify actionable findings.
• Collaborate with security teams to align AI work with business needs.
• Help develop repeatable AI workflows for security operations.
• Research new prompting approaches and evaluate emerging AI tech.
• Ensure AI insights can be captured, stored, and used by technical teams.
• Build prototypes and proofs of concept demonstrating AI value in cybersecurity.
