Doña Ana County, NM seeks a Cybersecurity Administrator to support day‑to‑day administration, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of security tools and controls. You will implement policies, monitor events, manage vulnerabilities, and help with incident response to protect county data and assets.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in CS/IT, 6+ years in enterprise security, and CompTIA Security+ within 2 months. Strong knowledge of email security, SIEM, and cloud security is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
• Six (6) years of experience administering, configuring, monitoring, and supporting security technologies in an enterprise environment.
• CompTIA Security+ certification within two months of hire; other security certs are desirable such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS/GSEC/GCIA/GCIH, PenTest+, Cloud+.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational runbooks, checklists, and documentation for security tools and tasks.
• Configure and monitor security tools and email gateways to block threats.
• Run vulnerability scans, document remediation status, and coordinate with IT teams.
• Triage security incidents, collect logs, and escalate per incident response procedures.
• Support risk assessments, audits, and incident response coordination.
