Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking a senior Cyberlife Mainframe Developer to drive modernization and support for life and annuity software solutions. You will contribute to development, testing, and debugging, and collaborate in design reviews with peers.

The role includes on-call production support, solving complex technical challenges, and mentoring junior engineers. Remote US work is allowed, with eligibility for standard DXC benefits.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience as a Cyberlife Mainframe Developer.
• Experience with COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DFSORT and IBM utilities.
• Experience in US Life & Annuity Insurance domain.
• Production/Test Batch Cycle support and on-call resolution experience.
• Advanced degree in a related field is a plus.

Essential Job Functions

Contribute to software development projects by writing, testing, and debugging code, with an emphasis on complex and critical components. Collaborate with team members to meet project requirements, actively participating in design and code reviews. Provide technical expertise and support to team efforts, acting as a subject matter expert in specific domains. Assist in solving complex technical challenges, researching and proposing solutions. Participate in defining software requirements and specifications. Debug and troubleshoot production issues, working closely with operations and support teams. Contribute to the assessment and adoption of new technologies and best practices. Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and knowledge sharing.

Mandatory Qualifications

5-7 years of experience as a Cyberlife Mainframe Developer with exceptional skills in software development and modernization. Cyberlife is mandatory to move forward in this position.

Required Technical skills

COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DFSORT and IBM supplied utilities.

Must have experience with US Life & Annuity Insurance domain.

Provide comprehensive support to Production/Test Batch Cycle and achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues during on call.

Other Qualifications

Advanced degree in a related field is a plus.

Relevant certifications or training a plus.
