Request Technology, LLC is seeking a skilled cybersecurity professional in Austin, TX with hybrid work arrangement. The role focuses on detecting, triaging, and stopping emerging cyber threats, monitoring alerts, and coordinating incident responses across teams.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of cybersecurity experience (or 6+ in IT) and relevant certifications, with hands-on experience in EDR and SIEM tools such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Splunk, and Google SecOps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Cybersecurity or IT fields.
• At least six years IT-related experience or minimum three years direct cybersecurity experience required.
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+, GIAC Information Security Fundamentals or Security Essentials, CISSP.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, triage, and respond to security alerts and incidents.
• Utilize threat intelligence feeds to stay informed about emerging threats.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configurations
• Develop and implement new detection rules.
• Maintain and configure security tools and technologies.
• Document and conform to processes related to security monitoring and incident response.
• Acts as subject matter expert for security incident responses.
• Enhance department and organization reputation by delivering quality results and exploring opportunities to increase value and raise awareness of Information Security Program
• Participate in knowledge sharing with other analysts/engineers and develop solutions efficiently.

Hybrid 3 days onsite

What You’ll Bring
