Job summary

American Family Insurance is seeking a Senior Security & Risk Analyst to lead threat intelligence initiatives in a hybrid role, supporting Security Operations, Vulnerability Management, and technology leadership. You will transform complex threats into actionable intelligence and strengthen cyber defenses.

The position requires advanced threat intelligence experience, IT risk management knowledge, and expertise in reporting to both technical and executive audiences. Travel up to 10% is possible.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of security analysis methodologies and reporting standards for technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience in IT Risk Management and/or Information Systems Auditing.
• Strong understanding of IT risk management practices, reporting, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and translate threat intelligence into actionable insights for security teams and leadership.
• Monitor emerging threats, adversary activity, IOCs, and TTPs across multiple intelligence sources.
• Partner with Security Operations, Vulnerability Management, and other stakeholders to strengthen cyber defense capabilities.
• Produce and deliver intelligence reports, threat briefings, and alerts for technical and executive audiences.
• Support incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management through intelligence and analysis.
• Enhance threat models and detection capabilities using MITRE ATT&CK and other frameworks.
• Communicate security risks and recommendations effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
