Job summary

Information Management Resources, Inc. (IMRI) in Long Beach, CA, is seeking a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to join an onsite team and elevate our threat intelligence capabilities.

You will be at the epicenter of threat intelligence operations, translating complex data into actionable defense strategies for the Port and surrounding stakeholders. The role emphasizes advanced threat analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and the development of high-impact intelligence reports.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of general IT and/or cyber experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst.
• Strong experience producing intelligence products for leadership and operations teams.
• Familiar with threat actor behavior, TTPs, and indicators tracking.
• Solid understanding of CTI frameworks and the intelligence lifecycle.
• 2+ years working with commercial CTI platforms (e.g., Anomali, Recorded Future, ThreatConnect).
• Experience with OSINT collection tools and techniques.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical threat analysis to identify and produce IOCs and IOAs based on real-time intelligence.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security threats using intelligence platforms.
• Conduct OSINT gathering using tools like Shodan, Maltego, PassiveTotal, and VirusTotal.
• Produce high-quality tactical, operational, and strategic intelligence reports.
• Monitor and become SME on known adversaries and threat actors; elevate intelligence on threats.
• Apply the Cyber Kill Chain, MITRE ATT&CK, and Diamond Model to assess threat behavior.
• Collaborate with incident response, SOC, IT, and security operations teams.
• Improve detection logic by feeding intelligence back into detection engineering and threat hunting.
• Triage and prioritize threats with potential impact on critical operations.
• Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to threat playbooks and response plans.
