Job summary

The New York City Department of Veterans' Services (DVS) is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst (Cyber Threat Intel) to support the Cyber Command’s intelligence program. The role focuses on collecting, processing, analyzing, and disseminating actionable intelligence to executives and policy stakeholders, with liaison duties between Cyber Risk and CTI teams.

You will help identify citywide threats, collaborate on risk assessments, and contribute to playbooks and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to projects and policies required by the particular position; or, Education and/or experience which is equivalent to the above.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic and operational threat intelligence to stakeholders within Cyber Command and NYC agency leaders.
• Lead intelligence support to risk managers and stakeholders; disseminate analysis through threat intelligence platforms.
• Capture intelligence requirements and metrics; align with risk assessment workstreams.
• Support the operation and improvement of the threat intelligence platform.
• Collaborate across teams on risk assessment workstreams and playbooks.
• Track threat actors, malware, and campaigns; coordinate with CTI and other NYC3 teams.
• Maintain relationships with vendors providing intelligence support and toolsets.
• Handle special projects and initiatives as assigned.
