Job summary

SarelaTech seeks an experienced Cybersecurity Incident Response & Threat Detection Analyst to support a DoD cybersecurity mission in Columbus, Ohio. The role focuses on monitoring and responding to security incidents across the enterprise network.

The analyst will analyze logs, detect APTs, and provide technical sustainment for cybersecurity tools, with an emphasis on defense-in-depth and proactive threat hunting.

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
• Two years performing root cause analysis of events/incidents.
• Knowledge of at least two security tool areas (see tools).
• Understanding of defense-in-depth concepts.
• Ability to build scripts/tools to enhance detection and response (SPL, Python, PowerShell).

Responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM and related cybersecurity tools 24x7x365.
• Detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats.
• Review logs for trends indicating attacks or compromise; monitor for APTs.
• Provide technical sustainment for enterprise cybersecurity tools.
• Support application of defense-in-depth signatures and controls.
