Job summary

Nightwing Group seeks a Cyber Technology Researcher to support an on-site government mission in Arlington, VA. You will conduct capability-based research, evaluate commercial and open-source solutions, manage pilots, and oversee transitions from proof of concept to production while aligning with customer requirements.

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred) and 5+ years of IT cyber operations or systems integration experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct relevant experience in IT cyber operations or systems integration.
• Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity operations and mission environments.
• Experience with incident response and mission-critical system operations.

Responsibilities

• Concurrently track, advise, and manage cases through their lifecycle—from submission to capability delivery.
• Document technical requirements, develop potential courses of action, and oversee implementation of capabilities aligned to those requirements.
• Evaluate technology solutions against identified functional and technical customer requirements; perform hands-on testing of trial licenses and open-source capabilities.
