Job summary

Rockwell Automation seeks a Cyber Technology Consultant to support the SecureOT Platform in pre‑sales engagements across Europe. You will present capabilities to customers, answer technical and commercial questions, and collaborate with sales and proposal teams to quote solutions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical field, 2+ years in pre‑sales or consulting, and strong English communication. OT cybersecurity experience is a plus and Rockwell promotes hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
• 2+ years pre‑sales, direct sales or consulting experience.
• Experience in OT cybersecurity offerings and capabilities is a plus.
• Experience with customer engagement, presentations and communications.
• Strong knowledge of Rockwell Automation technologies including PLCs, drives, software and networks.

• Support SecureOT Platform in pre‑sales activities and demos.
• Engage with customers early in sales cycles to present platform capabilities.

Job Description

The Cyber Technology Consultant is a deeply technical resource for Rockwell Automation technology, products, services, and solutions within their area(s) of expertise, capable of articulating capability, defining scope and benefits of Rockwell Automation’s Cyber Technology portfolio to customers. In this role, you will also deliver presales support and will be a trusted advisor to the sales organization and channel. You are responsible for technical support in pre‑sales activities and support bid offer activities for a specific range of products, services & solutions within a defined geography. You will be part of the Global Sales and Marketing business unit and report to the Pre‑Sales Technical Team Leader. The role can be based anywhere in Europe where Rockwell Automation has an office presence.

Your responsibilities

• Main focus is to support SecureOT Platform
• Deep knowledge of product capabilities and environment, able to navigate demo environment live with customers.
• Meet with customers early in sales cycles to present SecureOT platform capabilities
• Address and resolve customer questions around the technical and commercial solutions being proposed – with deep technical expertise to support customer’s requests for demos, Proof of values and deeper technical reviews
• Coordinate and collaborate with sellers, application consultants and proposal consultants and broader stakeholders to help facilitate critical information from a customer opportunity to the right teams in RA to develop and quote solutions
• Develop and extend technical knowledge across SecureOT Platform and the complete SecureOT Solution Suite.

The Essentials

• You Will Have Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering / technical, related field or equivalent.

The Preferred

• You Might Also Have Experience in OT cyber security offerings and capabilities
• Experience in customer engagement / facing presentations and communications
• 2+ years pre‑sales, direct sales or consulting experience as an estimator, proposal engineer or other contract, project or Technology engineering focused position
• Demonstrated understanding of larger Rockwell Automation Technology value including knowledge in Automation products including PLC, Standard Drives, Software, Networks and ideally good knowledge of third party products
• Good Technology and industry knowledge
• Demonstrated ability to work in a challenging environment with both internal and external customers
• Strong solution and Technology expertise, and related demonstrated sales experience
• Fluency with native language and strong command of English (written & spoken).
