Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Cyber Systems Test Engineer – Cyber Test Engineer (24-192) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in the Colorado Springs, CO area.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations. The successful candidate will provide unit-level release testing and develop and institute test plans. Engage in integration, verification testing, system testing, and field testing. Support project management of test plans and procedures.
Essential Functions:
Security engineering skills with a working knowledge of information assurance technology and DoDI 8500.2.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to support complex organizational relationships.
Experience in security architecture design, Security Audit tools, and administration of security devices such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
Excellent technical document preparation skills are required to present technical information assurance issues to senior management.
Experience with security products such as vulnerability scanning and network assessment tools.
Understand how to write concise test steps and other technical documentation.
Ability to communicate with system engineers, network engineers, and software developers.
Basic Qualifications:
An active Secret clearance is required to start.
2 years with an Engineering-related bachelor’s degree; 6 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree.
Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
Must have solid UNIX, Windows, Juniper, CISCO, and Firewall security configuration experience.
Must have a strong understanding of RMF and interpretation of requirements.
Must be familiar with Agile and automated testing methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
CISSP Certification is highly desirable.
STIGs, Ansible, Vulnerability scanning, and network assessment tools are a plus.
Occasional travel to SAFB and CMAFS is required.

Salary Range: $87,200 - $130,800
