Job summary

Lockheed Martin's Rotary and Mission Systems Cyber Resiliency organization seeks a cybersecurity professional to harden systems, conduct vulnerability scans, and monitor security posture across the Space Fence Radar System environment.

Candidates should have 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering or sysadmin roles, plus IAT II certification and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable cybersecurity engineering or systems administration experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Linux or Windows based systems.
  • Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification or higher (e.g. CompTIA Security+ or CISSP)
  • Ability to obtain a Secret DoD security clearance; US citizenship required.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% travel to our customer sites throughout the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Hardening operating systems, applications, and network devices.
  • Conducting vulnerability scans.
  • Continuous monitoring of the security posture of the system.
  • Assisting with Government Certification Test and Evaluation (CT&E) and Vulnerability Testing.
  • Implementing security updates and patches.
  • Applying configuration changes to ESS and ACAS security tools.
  • Providing support to maintain the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of the system to include RMF package.
  • Collaboration with system stakeholders to ensure the cybersecurity posture of the system is maintained.
  • Interfacing with and supporting the ISSO and other government security stakeholders.

THE WORK

As a Member Of Our Team, You Will Be Involved In a Variety Of Activities Aimed At Enhancing The Cyber Resiliency Of The AFSOC ACS Program. This Includes Tasks Such As

  • Hardening operating systems, applications, and network devices
  • Conducting vulnerability scans
  • Continuous monitoring of the security posture of the system
  • Assisting with Government Certification Test and Evaluation (CT&E) and Vulnerability Testing
  • Implementing security updates and patches
  • Applying configuration changes to ESS and ACAS security tools
  • Providing support to maintain the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of the system to include support of the RMF package
  • Collaboration with system stakeholders to ensure the cybersecurity posture of the system is maintained
  • Interfacing with and supporting the ISSO and other government security stakeholders
Please Note
  • This position requires a government Secret security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
  • This position will involve around 10% travel to our customer sites throughout the U.S.
Travel Requirements Include
  • Travel to Moorestown NJ – SFS Systems Integration Laboratory
  • Travel to Space Operations Center, Eglin AFB Site C6 FL
  • Potential travel with US Passport to Sensor Site 1, Kwajalein Atoll, Royal Marshall Islands.

You should have demonstrable knowledge in cybersecurity administration or systems administration, through practical, hands-on work experience

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team are essential.

You should have a solid working knowledge of Linux or Windows based systems and have an active CompTIA Security+ certification or higher IAT Certification.

You should also be able to obtain a US Secret Security or higher level Clearance.

Having experience with ESS, ACAS security tools is a plus, as well as experience with Windows Active Directory and a familiarity with DISA STIGs.

Basic Qualifications

Related Bachelors Degree with 5+ years of experience, or Master's Degree with 3+ year or equivalent professional experience.

  • Demonstrable and relevant cybersecurity engineering or systems administration experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Linux or Windows based systems.
  • Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification or higher (e.g. CompTIA Security+ or CISSP)
  • Ability to obtain an Secret DoD Secret security clearance prior to starting this position. Obtaining a Security Clearance requires US citizenship.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $88300.00 - $163900.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
