This position is located in Melbourne, FL. In this pivotal role, you will design, implement, and manage our cutting-edge network infrastructure, ensuring seamless and secure operations that support our mission-critical objectives.
Additional responsibilities may include, but not be limited to, the following:
• Maintaining smooth operation of LAN/WAN/VPNs.
• Planning, designing, configuring, and installing network hardware in support of customer requirements.
• Maintaining technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware / software interconnection, as well as interfaces, including routers, multiplexers, firewalls, switches, gateways, etc.
• Proposing technical solutions to management.
• Ensuring all communication requirements (based on current usage and future needs) are configured to optimize cost savings.
• Creating and ensuring that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.
• Participating in peer review of network documentation and configurations.
• Providing regular monitoring, and network analysis, regarding short and long-range planning for [in-house] systems.
• Supporting network teams in project designs to clarify project requirements, and providing design solutions, in accordance with standards.
• Performing troubleshooting analysis of network infrastructure and associated systems.
• Installing and configure various vendors routers, switches and firewalls.
• Providing third-level support and troubleshooting of network problems. Periodically provide after-hours and weekend support.
• Implementing and troubleshooting Internet Protocol (IP) routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, OSPF.
• Interfacing regularly with customers and manage customer installation timelines and deliverables to help facilitate successful deployments.
• Lifting equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

This requisition may be filled at a Cyber Systems Network Engineer (Level 2) OR Principal Cyber Systems Network Engineer (Level 3) level based on the qualifications below.

Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $127,400.00Salary Range 2: $104,800.00 - $157,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
