Job summary

Castalia Systems is seeking a Cyber Systems Analyst Junior to support our Intelligence Clients' mission sets. The role involves assessing cybersecurity posture and prioritizing threats for a USMC defense program, across the cyber kill chain and related operations.

Applicants should have at least 3 years of relevant experience, a related Bachelor's degree or 7 years of equivalent experience, and must be a U.S. Citizen eligible for TSSCI and CI Poly as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the labor category, including recent experience within the last 2 years.
• Bachelor's degree in an area related to the labor category from an accredited college or university.
• An additional 4 years of experience in the labor category can substitute for the degree (total 7 years)

Responsibilities

• Assess the cybersecurity posture of USMC defense programs and prioritize cyber threats based on analysis.
• Analyze foreign capabilities to detect, disrupt and deny USMC emissions and signals across the cyber kill chain.
• Identify risks in network environments, limits of data collection, and required capabilities.
• Evaluate databases and intelligence gaps; use open-source information (PAI) to inform assessments.
• Define battlespace effects and analyze information services for confidentiality, integrity, availability; protect, detect, respond, restore.

Roles and Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities but are not limited to Assess the cybersecurity posture of a USMC defense program ensuring the program is evolving with the best cybersecurity practices prioritizing cyber threats based on factual cyber analysisAnalyze foreign capabilities to detect disrupt and deny USMC emissions and signals throughout the cyber kill chain to include but not limited to emissions from targeting communications and intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance ISR assets reversible and non reversible attacksIdentify monitor and assess advancements in emerging and commercial technologies that could be employed by state and non state actors to detect disrupt and deny USMC acquisition programs network infrastructureIdentify significant risk characteristics of the environment such as classification of network baseline activity architecture operating system services connectivity and bandwidthIdentify the limits of the network to be collected againstEstablish limits of the supporting or connected networks that may need to be collected againstEvaluate existing databases and identify intelligence gapsUse open source to gather Publicly Available Information PAIExplore the physical battlespace; how could the environment affect tactical operationsDefine the battlespace effectsAnalyze the battlespace environment for information services and networks such as confidentiality integrity availability; and protect detect respond restore and conduct reviewsAnalyze other characteristics of the battlespace such as security auditing procedures and backup systems Evaluate the adversary on physical location of all assets architecture and automation skills security and policies baseline activity peculiarities and vulnerabilities capabilities and conclusions that address Rules of Engagement ROE for Information Assurance IA Computer Network Defense CND and Computer Network Attack CNA Determine adversarys Courses of Action COAIdentify the adversarys likely objectives and desired end stateIdentify the full set of COAs available to the adversary at a minimum the most likely and most dangerous should be developedDevelop COAs based on enemy perception of friendly information architecture reverse cyber IPBEvaluate and prioritize each adversary COAContinue to refine COAs as time and new information allowEvaluate foreign Computer Network Defense CND and Computer Network Attack CNA capabilities limitations and vulnerabilitiesAssess potential vulnerabilities of USMC tactical systems to CNA to include systems related to targeting ISR and navigation assets

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years
• Bachelors degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education
• An additional 4 years of experience in the specific labor category for a total of 7 years of experience in lieu of degree

Salary at Castalia Systems is determined by various factors including but not limited to location position knowledge skills competencies and experience as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements The projected compensation range for this position is 7500000 to 8000000 annualized USD The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Castalia Systems total compensation package for employees
