Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Cyber Software Test Engineer in Herndon, VA for 100% onsite work in a SCIF. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks to ensure software quality across the SDLC.

The ideal candidate has strong automated testing experience, familiar with Robot Framework, Selenium, JMeter, SoapUI, or JUnit, and can integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with developers and QA teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience or Master's with 6 years.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Extensive experience with automated software testing
• Experience with automated test tools such as Robot Framework, Selenium, JMeter, SoapUI, or Junit.
• Experience documenting test plans/procedures.
• Experience maintaining and enhancing existing automated software testing scripts
• Experience in an Agile software development environment utilizing Python

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Design and implement scalable automated test frameworks and harnesses.
• Collaborate closely with developers to identify testing needs and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and document defects with clear and actionable detail.
• Support manual testing when needed and help define overall QA best practices.
• Contribute to requirement reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning when necessary.
