Job summary

AMS Technologies, LLC seeks an Application Programmer III to support a large Air Force IT enterprise Cyber Weapons System Program at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX. This role requires Top Secret clearance and focuses on developing software for host-based and network sensors and data analysis platforms.

The candidate will lead software development, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement CI/CD practices with FOSS, COTS, and GOTS components in a Scrum environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or high school with extensive experience.
• GIT experience with version control practices.
• Experience with databases/servers and NoSQL ecosystems.
• Understanding of Networking Principles (TCP/IP).
• DevSecOps experience and security-focused development.
• Familiarity with Bitbucket, Jira, SonarQube, GitLab, Nexus, and network analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement software solutions using FOSS, COTS, and GOTS.
• Lead cross-functional design and integration for host-based and network sensors.
• Collaborate to mature requirements with operators, engineers, and product owners.
• Write and maintain computer programs and user documentation.
• Develop software to store, locate, and retrieve data and documents.
• Create software for collecting and analyzing data from remote sensors and security tools.
• Incorporate unit and integration tests into a CI/CD pipeline.
• Support QA/testing and participate in Scrum Agile processes.
