Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Maryland seeks a seasoned Software Integration Engineer to design, build, and maintain Java and Python-based integration services on AWS.

You will own end-to-end components from design through production support, develop API-centric solutions, and collaborate with cross-domain teams. An active Top Secret clearance with CI polygraph is required, along with on-call availability.

• 9 years of relevant experience or a Master’s plus 7 years of relevant experience.
• Active Top Secret clearance with CI polygraph within 7 years.
• Ability to support an on-call rotation.
• Strong Java and Python programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end responsibility for integration components from design through production support.
• Develop and maintain API-centric services with a focus on integration.
• Build and maintain services in AWS with production monitoring (Lambda, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB).
• Collaborate with cross-domain teams and review merge requests with constructive feedback.

Seasoned Software Integration Engineer

Seasoned Software Integration Engineer with proven experience building, debugging, and maintaining Java and Python based integration services on AWS.

Required Programming Languages: Java and Python

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• 9 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience.
• An active Top Secret clearance with CI polygraph within the last 7 years.
• ***Ability to support an on-call rotation
• Required Programming Languages: Java and Python
• Systematic root cause analysis; can break down a problem into reproducible steps and communicate findings clearly.
• Works effectively with the team (internal and cross domain); comfortable reviewing MRs and providing constructive feedback.
• Takes end to end responsibility for integration components—from design through production support.
• Hands on software development focused on integration, or API centric products.
• Direct experience building and maintaining services in AWS (including production monitoring) i.e. Lambda, OSS, Cloud Watch, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB

Desired Skills

• Demonstrated ability to debug complex, cross language codebases (Java Python) under pressure (e.g., on call rotations)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with regular sprint ceremonies and backlog grooming.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $135700.00 - $251900.00
