Job summary

Percival in Columbia, Maryland is seeking a Cyber (CNO) Software Developer to join our on-site team. The role focuses on developing cyber capability tools, writing portable cross-platform code, and supporting the full lifecycle from design through customer support.

Ideal candidates have strong C/C++, Python skills, and networking knowledge, with experience in operating system internals. U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI with polygraph are required for this security-cleared position.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field or 4 years of technical work experience.
• Deep knowledge of operating system internals and development environments.
• C/C++ programming and Python development skills.
• Experience with IPv4 Protocol and Networking.
• Minimum one year experience programming in Assembly, C, C#, C++.

Responsibilities

• Provide software development in support of custom software design and development of cyber capability -tools and techniques.
• Draft documentation, participate in design, code, and software readiness reviews.
• Write portable code that is compatible with multiple operating systems and architectures (Windows and/or Unix).
• Should be comfortable writing single and/or multi-threaded applications and inter process communication interfaces.
• Create new novel solutions and/or integrate new features and maintain existing software solutions supporting computer network operations.
• Responsible for the entire lifecycle of solutions including design, development, testing, and customer support.
• Work independently and with small teams, track and report status directly to customer.
• Write or learn a high-level programming language like Python or Ruby.
