Job summary

Empeople Credit Union is seeking an Information Security Analyst to contribute to and maintain its cyber security program. You will investigate incidents, work with internal teams and third parties, and report status to management.

This role requires hands-on experience with firewall/IDS, SIEM, cloud security (Azure), and Windows Server environments, plus strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science with 3–5 years IT or information security experience.
• Experience creating enterprise security documentation and designing security architecture.
• Experience in NIST-based incident handling.
• Hands-on knowledge of security tools and cloud security (Azure).
• Strong Windows Server, AD, DNS and DHCP administration.

Responsibilities

• Review daily security logs and investigate anomalies.
• Process reported social engineering attempts and inform involved parties.
• Monitor, investigate, remediate and report security incidents with the IR team.
• Conduct social engineering exercises and assist remediation training.
• Administer vulnerability management and coordinate remediation with IT/product teams.
• Administer the organization's information security systems and tools.
• Contribute to security policies and procedures and assist with awareness programs.
• Support security strategy rollout and monitor emerging threats; report to leadership.
• Participate in audit, regulatory, and policy compliance activities.
• Monitor security alerts outside business hours.
