Job summary

South Sioux City Area Chamber of Commerce & CVB is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to monitor, administer, and improve security operations across enterprise environments. You will support SIEM, EDR/XDR, and incident response while maturing the program into a trusted technical resource.

The role requires hands-on analysis of alerts, threat detection, vulnerability management, and documentation; you will collaborate with IT teams and support audits and cloud security initiatives as they arise.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of cybersecurity, systems administration, network administration, or related IT with security responsibilities.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field preferred; Security+ or equivalent cert.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure security environments; OT/manufacturing environment knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM, EDR/XDR, and MDR platforms; investigate alerts and suspicious activity.
• Lead and coordinate incident response activities; conduct threat hunting and event analysis.
• Improve detection rules and alert tuning; evaluate SIEM log coverage and onboarding.
• Coordinate vulnerability identification and remediation.
• Support security tool deployment and cloud security initiatives; develop procedures and documentation.
• Support audits and compliance activities; maintain attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
