Job summary

empirical foods, inc. is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to monitor and improve the organization’s security operations across enterprise and production environments.

You will support SIEM, EDR/XDR, incident response, vulnerability management, and ongoing threat detection while maturing the cyber program into a trusted technical backbone. This role requires hands-on coverage of security events, collaboration with IT and production teams, and the ability to develop and refine detection rules,

Qualifications

• 3+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on security operations experience.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity/IT/CS or related field; Security+ or equivalent certs.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure security environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM, EDR/XDR, and MDR platforms.
• Investigate alerts and suspicious activity.
• Lead and coordinate incident response activities.
• Conduct threat hunting and event analysis.
• Improve detection rules and alert tuning.
• Evaluate SIEM log coverage and onboarding.
• Participate in after-hours security monitoring and incident response.
