Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Cyber Subject Matter Expert - Scientist to support our Cybersecurity Data Analysis Services in Springfield, VA. The role requires managing engineering, integration and admin tasks for delivery to the operational baseline.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of related experience, TS/SCI with CI Poly, and DoD policy familiarity. Strong Linux, SIEM, and scripting skills are expected, with opportunities to lead automation and beta-testing efforts.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 7–10 years of related cybersecurity/engineering experience.
• Experience with Linux systems administration and network security concepts.
• Knowledge of DoD policies and security guidance relevant to information systems.
• Ability to work independently and in team environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage tasks and customer requests using the ServiceNow platform.
• Resolve incident tickets and onboard assets across enclaves.
• Lead evaluations of emerging technologies and contribute to roadmaps.
• Develop and update SIEM queries and processing standards.
• Support engineering in testing future enhancements and automation.
• Coordinate beta-testing of Audit Enterprise system improvements.
