Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group seeks a Cyber Data Analysis Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines for cybersecurity investigations in a multi-site environment (St. Louis, MO and Springfield, VA).

You will manage data ingest, normalization, and SIEM-related tasks, plus Linux/Windows administration and cloud asset management. Ideal candidates bring strong Linux/Windows expertise, network knowledge, and experience with SIEM tools like Elastic, Splunk, and ArcSight.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Systems Engineer or similar experience.
• IAT II certification and obtain CSSP Infrastructure Support certification 120 days of hire
• Experience with SIEM technologies such as Elastic, Splunk, and/or ArcSight
• Experience with private and public clouds (AWS, Google, OpenStack)
• Advanced Linux proficiency and strong networking knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Resolve escalated issues and perform root cause analysis for complex issues
• Communicate with program SMEs and customers with varying technical backgrounds
• Maintain system availability and reliability with high uptime
• Coordinate and conduct event collection, log management, and identity monitoring activities
• Perform scheduled maintenance and adhere to change management processes
• Configure assets in accordance with DoD and NGA guidelines
• Utilize ticketing systems to document and coordinate actions
• Maintain thorough documentation of logs and system configurations
• Collaborate with other service providers to support common objectives
