The Opportunity:
CACI seeks a motivated, mid-level Cyber Security Engineer to support the C5ISR Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. You will join a team of cyber security engineers to perform information security assessments for the Cyber Security (CS) Division at the Engineering and Services Innovation (ESI) Directorate.
Responsibilities:
Work on a small team of cyber engineers to perform security assessments in search of vulnerabilities and identify mitigations.
Conduct assessments on a wide range of hardware and software products; including but not limited to web applications, networked devices, and stand-alone software programs utilizing red team tactics.
Maintain test efficacy by identifying and applying new testing tools and techniques.
Conduct research and development efforts to explore current and emerging technologies.
Travel up to 25% of the time.
Qualifications:
Required:
An active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent).
Must have 5+ years of experience with offensive security/penetration testing tools and methodologies to assess web applications, networked devices, and/or software programs.
Intermediate knowledge of Linux and Windows internals.
Thorough understanding of networking protocols, hardware, and software.
Ability to interpret network traffic to understand communications and identify security vulnerabilities using Wireshark, Burp Suite, etc.
Familiarity with hypervisor virtualization (VMware, VirtualBox).
Ability to effectively communicate through written and verbal means, to include conveying technical information to team members, leadership, and clients.
Willingness to apply critical thinking skills to solve complex problems.
Work efficiently both individually and as a team.
Must be willing and able to work in a lab.
Desired:
CEH Practical or OSCP certification.
Basic programming/scripting experience (Python, Java, C/C++, bash).
Code analysis and reverse engineering experience.
Familiarity with COTS/GOTS radios, SDRs, and RF concepts.
Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is: $75,200 - 158,100 USD.
