Cyber Security Engineer responsible for protecting organizational systems, networks, applications, and sensitive data from cyber threats. Experienced in identifying security vulnerabilities, monitoring security incidents, implementing security controls, and ensuring compliance with industry security standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and respond to potential cyber threats.

Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.

Implement and manage security solutions such as firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.

Monitor security events using SIEM tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or QRadar.

Analyze security logs and identify suspicious activities, unauthorized access, and potential attacks.

Implement identity and access management (IAM), including user provisioning, access reviews, and MFA.

Perform risk assessments and recommend security improvements.

Support incident response, threat detection, and remediation activities.

Ensure compliance with security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, and SOC 2.

Conduct security audits and maintain security documentation and reports.

Work with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to implement security best practices.

Assist in patch management and security configuration management.
