Job summary

Valiant Technologies LLC is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer in Atlanta to lead hands-on network security operations and firewall management. The role requires expertise with NGFWs, NDR, NAC, and email security, plus coordinating with offshore teams to troubleshoot escalations.

You will implement and tune security controls, respond to incidents, and drive improvements across the security stack in a dynamic 12-month engagement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage Palo Alto NGFWs and related platforms.
• Operate Panorama, GlobalProtect, and Prisma Access.
• Configure policies, VPN, and SASE; ensure high availability and patching.
• Implement and support NDR solutions such as Darktrace or equivalent.
• Monitor network traffic visibility and investigate threats.
• Deploy NAC with Forescout, Cisco ISE, or Aruba ClearPass.
• Administer email security like Proofpoint and threat remediation.
• Configure DMARC, DKIM, and SPF as needed.
• Provide technical direction to offshore teams.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Cybersecurity professional with strong hands-on expertise in Network Security, Next-Generation Firewalls, Network Detection and Response (NDR), Network Access Control (NAC), and Email Security. The candidate will handle complex L3 security escalations, lead troubleshooting activities, and provide technical direction to offshore teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and troubleshoot Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW).

Work with Palo Alto Panorama, GlobalProtect, and Prisma Access.

Handle firewall policies, VPN, SASE, high availability (HA), patching, and troubleshooting.

Implement and support NDR solutions such as Darktrace, Gigamon, or equivalent platforms.

Manage network traffic visibility using SPAN/TAP and investigate potential threats.

Design, implement, and enforce NAC solutions using Forescout, Cisco ISE, or Aruba ClearPass.

Manage email security solutions such as Proofpoint or equivalent platforms.

Investigate phishing and malware incidents and perform email threat remediation.

Implement and manage DMARC, DKIM, and SPF configurations.

Independently handle complex Level 3 security escalations.

Provide technical direction and oversight to offshore teams.

Identify security gaps and recommend improvements to security infrastructure.
