Job summary

FastMed Urgent Care in Durham, NC seeks a Cyber Security Analyst to safeguard our information systems and protect sensitive data, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability. You will work with the IS Team to identify vulnerabilities and respond to security incidents.

Responsibilities include security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability assessments, policy development, and user security awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2–4 years of cyber security experience.
• Understanding of HIPAA and PCI DSS regulations.
• Preferred certifications: CompTIA Security+, CEH, SSCP.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and security alerts to detect threats.
• Investigate and respond to incidents, breaches, and vulnerabilities.
• Implement incident response procedures to minimize damage.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Evaluate security controls and propose improvements.
• Develop security policies and educate staff on best practices.
• Manage security tools like firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus.
• Assist in security audits and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Document incidents and prepare management reports.
• Promote security awareness across the organization.
