The role emphasizes operational excellence, incident response, and collaboration with security engineering, infrastructure, and vendor teams to resolve complex issues and improve service quality.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting security operations, network security, endpoint security, or infrastructure security tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues using documentation and collaboration with peers/vendors.
• Familiarity with tickets, service requests, change requests, maintenance activities, and service management processes.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and communicate gaps or improvement opportunities.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational support for security platforms (Palo Alto Firewalls, Netskope, CrowdStrike, Carbon Black).
• Handle policy changes, rule reviews, object updates, and firewall hygiene activities.
• Support ongoing sensor health checks, policy updates, and troubleshooting for CrowdStrike.
• Monitor agent health and perform configuration updates for Carbon Black.
• Respond to tickets, service requests, and maintenance tasks within SLAs.
• Investigate tool performance issues, policy enforcement, and endpoint behavior.

Position Summary

This role is responsible for the day-to-day operational support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of key perimeter and endpoint security platforms, including Palo Alto Firewalls, Netskope, CrowdStrike, and Carbon Black. The position supports security engineering by ensuring these tools remain stable, effective, properly configured, and aligned with business and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational support for Palo Alto Firewalls, including policy changes, rule reviews, object updates, troubleshooting, and coordination of firewall hygiene activities.
• Support Netskope operations, including policy administration, troubleshooting, configuration updates, and assistance with secure web gateway or cloud access security use cases.
• Support CrowdStrike operations, including sensor health checks, policy updates, exclusion reviews, and troubleshooting.
• Support Carbon Black operations, including agent health monitoring, policy maintenance, workstation and server troubleshooting, configuration updates, and coordination with endpoint engineering teams.
• Respond to operational tickets, service requests, maintenance tasks, and change activities within defined service level expectations.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to security tool performance, connectivity, policy enforcement, endpoint agent behavior, and user impact.
• Perform routine platform maintenance, including configuration reviews, version validation, health checks, and documentation updates.
• Partner with security engineering, infrastructure, endpoint, network, and vendor teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Assist with maintaining accurate operational documentation, including standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, escalation paths, and knowledge base articles.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce recurring incidents, strengthen security controls, and improve service quality.

Required Qualifications

• Relevant experience supporting security operations, network security, endpoint security, or infrastructure security tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues using available documentation and by collaborating with peers, vendors, or engineering teams as appropriate.
• Familiarity with tickets, service requests, change requests, maintenance activities, and operational service management processes.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and communicate identified gaps or improvement opportunities.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage assigned work, seek clarification when necessary, and expedite issues appropriately.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with firewall rule recertification, security policy cleanup, and firewall policy management.
• Experience supporting Netskope Secure Web Gateway.
• Experience with CrowdStrike Falcon platform administration, sensor management, policy tuning, exclusion management, and operational troubleshooting.
• Experience with Carbon Black endpoint protection administration, policy tuning, agent deployment, health monitoring, and operational troubleshooting.
• Experience working with third‑party vendors.
• Basic scripting or automation experience to support reporting, health checks, or repeatable operational tasks.

Hybrid Working Arrangement

This position will have a hybrid working arrangement, working in-office for a minimum of 3 days a week.

The estimated base pay range for this job is:

$72,000.00 - $134,000.00

Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
