Job summary

Planet Recruitment seeks a Cyber Security Analyst to join an MSP team in Abingdon. You will monitor security operations, investigate alerts, and contribute to incident response and remediation across internal and client environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 security tooling and Sophos, with a pragmatic security mindset and strong documentation discipline. Flexible working and various benefits are on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an MSP, multi-client technical support, infrastructure or security administrator role.
• Practical experience using security platforms to investigate alerts, respond to issues and improve security posture, including Microsoft 365 security tooling and Sophos.
• Experience investigating security incidents, phishing, malware or account compromise.
• Strong troubleshooting across user, endpoint, identity, email, cloud and client configurations.

Responsibilities

• Security Operations: Monitor and investigate alerts across Microsoft 365, Sophos and other security platforms.
• Vulnerability & Patch Management: Review vulnerability scan results, validate findings and track remediation activities.
• Microsoft 365 Security: Review Microsoft Secure Score, Defender, Entra ID, Intune and Conditional Access recommendations.
• Assist with MFA, Conditional Access, Defender, Intune and endpoint security initiatives.
• Maintain security documentation and evidence gathering, review dates and remediation records.
