Job summary

Innovative Management Concepts, Inc. is seeking a Cyber Security Administrator to support secure IT operations for critical government missions in the U.S. The role requires active DoD 8140-aligned certifications and U.S. Citizenship, with TS/SCI eligibility on day one.

The position emphasizes configuring and monitoring security tools, incident response, and SOP documentation within JWAC-networks. On-site work and clearance requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold DoD 8140-aligned certifications in ACTIVE status at start date.
• Four years of security administration or engineering experience.
• Three years with Forescout, HBSS, ACAS, Ansible, and Windows Server Admin.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical problem solving.
• Self-motivated with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to obtain network/server/workstation administration rights on JWAC networks.
• U.S. Citizenship required and DoD TS/SCI clearance eligibility day one.
• All applicants must have DoD clearance eligibility prior to entry on duty.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain security technologies to enforce config and patch compliance.
• Ensure configurations meet Cyber Security directives and STIG controls.
• Investigate and respond to incidents, failures, and anomalies.
• Provide Forescout support: policies, testing connections, and policy import/export.
• Configure and support ePO integrations and extensions.
• Maintain operational state of systems through monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Produce periodic status reports on uptime, incidents, and issues.
• Contribute to SOPs and document service workflows and configurations.
• Provide weekly activity reports and plan upcoming work.

This role supports network compliance and connectivity within a secure IT environment that enables critical mission operations. The team provides analytical and technical support to government organizations responsible for national security and defense missions.

• Former DoD experience as military, government, or contractor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:

• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain the technologies that enforce rules to ensure that all devices connected to the network are appropriately configured and patched, disabling, or refusing connectivity for those systems that are not authorized and/or compliant.
• Ensure technologies are configured correctly to meet all applicable Cyber Security directives/mandates (such as Comply to Connect) and to include relevant STIGs and controls.
• Assist with investigating and responding to incidents/failures/anomalies that arise.
• Provide Forescout support:
  • Edit and implement policies,
  • Test connection,
  • Support connection to the configuration management tools, and
  • Importing and exporting policies, groups, and scripts.
• Configure and support ePO (i.e., import extensions, software, updates).
• Maintain computer systems in a fully operational state through monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and performing repair and restoration activities to a compliant operational state.
• Perform periodic reporting of system status to include uptime, incidents, problems, and open issues, etc.
• Perform backup HBSS and LogRhythm support.
• Provide input for, and maintain, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide documentation of service workflows, system configurations, and routine tasks.
• Provide weekly activity reports of work completed, issues and concerns, and upcoming work plans.
• Other duties as assigned.
