Echelon Risk + Cyber, a leading cybersecurity consulting firm in the United States, seeks a Cybersecurity Risk & Technical Advisory Consultant to join our dynamic team. You will engage in technical assessments, threat modeling, and incident response advisory, helping clients strengthen their security posture while collaborating with our internal experts.

You will apply MITRE ATT&CK, support purple team exercises, and contribute to BC/DR planning and business impact analyses.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with hands-on security assessments or advisory work.
• Experience evaluating cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Microsoft 365.
• Working knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and applying TTPs across assessments.
• Understanding incident response lifecycle and post-incident remediation.
• Familiarity with BC/DR planning and business impact analyses.
• Scripting skills in Python and/or PowerShell to support assessment, testing, and reporting workflows.
• Preferred certifications: Security+, CySA+, OSCP, or cloud security cert.

Responsibilities

• Execute technology risk, compliance, and cybersecurity engagements.
• Conduct security assessments across cloud, on‑prem, and SOC environments.
• Perform threat modeling, threat hunting, and detections tuning.
• Apply MITRE ATT&CK across assessments to map adversary behavior.
• Support purple team exercises and technical tabletop exercises (TTXs).
• Provide incident response advisory and develop playbooks and remediation roadmaps.
• Document results and communicate findings to client management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with clients to identify security risks and provide actionable recommendations.
