Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Remediation Specialist to join our IT security team in Columbus, IN. You will lead remediation efforts, apply risk management frameworks, and collaborate with IT, engineering, and business teams to protect systems and data.

You will mentor colleagues, manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), validate remediation evidence, and prepare remediation summaries for leadership to strengthen the organization’s security posture.

Qualifications

• College or university degree in Cybersecurity, CS, or IT, or relevant equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience translating control findings into remediation actions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze cybersecurity control findings from assessments, audits, and reviews.
• Translate control gaps into actionable remediation activities for control owners.
• Facilitate remediation discussions with IT, engineering, and business teams.
• Develop and track Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
