Job summary

Cummins is seeking a Cybersecurity Assurance Analyst to join the Systems/Information Technology team in Columbus, IN. This role focuses on leading risk assessments, guiding remediation, and ensuring alignment with NIST/ISO/COBIT frameworks to protect business assets.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to implement secure, compliant solutions and mentor junior team members in cybersecurity practices, contributing to governance and continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• College, university, or equivalent degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience.
• This position may require licensing for export controls or sanctions regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform cybersecurity control assessments to evaluate control design and operating effectiveness across IT systems and processes.
• Support internal audits, external audits, and third-party certification assessments (e.g., CMMC, ISO 27001, NIS2).
• Collaborate with IT, Cybersecurity, Compliance, and business stakeholders to support assessments and audits.
• Maintain documentation, records, and evidence packages to support repeatable assurance activities.
• Prepare audit-ready documentation and track remediation progress.
