Job Summary

Leidos offers a Cyber Range Software Engineer role in the Intelligence Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area. The position focuses on developing, configuring, and maintaining a Cyber Security Defensive Operations Range using IaC, Terraform, Ansible, VMware, and related automation technologies.

Your Main Objective

Create and configure Cyber Ranges comprising hundreds to thousands of virtual machines to support training, force‑on‑force exercises, and customer‑infrastructure simulations. Collaborate with Hunt, Red, and Blue Team operators and a cross‑functional engineering team to deliver innovative solutions for complex problems.

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or master’s degree plus 6 years, or an associate’s degree plus 10 years, or high school diploma/GED plus 12 years, as appropriate to the position.
• Computer Science degree or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Batch, and Python.
• Experience with networking and virtualization.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with cybersecurity tools, network configurations, and operational tools.
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), application behaviors, and network traffic analysis.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with flexible customer requirements.

Security Clearance Requirement

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Preferred Experience

• Agile development practices and DevOps experience.
• Container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge of penetration testing or red team operations.
• Experience with Splunk development or usage.
• Experience with Nutanix.
• Defensive Cyber Security Operations expertise.

Pay Range

$107,900.00 – $195,050.00 (general guideline only).
