Job summary

The University of South Florida is seeking a Cyber Range Analyst to oversee the development, operation, and maintenance of Cyber Florida's ARCS platform. You will coordinate training exercises, manage student accounts, document processes, and ensure the range runs smoothly and securely.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field with two years of experience (or a Master's degree).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field and two years of professional experience; or Master's degree in an area of specialization appropriate for the program.
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing cyber range activities or similar cybersecurity training programs.
• Strong technical proficiency in cybersecurity concepts, tools, and technologies, with the ability to configure and administer virtualized environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the development, implementation, and operation of cyber ranges, including selecting appropriate technologies, configuring systems, and ensuring the availability of necessary resources.
• Design and facilitate cybersecurity exercises and simulations to enhance participants' skills and preparedness in responding to cyber threats and incidents.
• Provide technical support and guidance to participants during cyber range exercises, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with the interpretation of results.
• Document processes and procedures for Cyber Florida's Cyber Range ("ARCS") and establish and manage student accounts on ARCS Range.
• Assist with student onboarding and perform quality assurance tasks on the ARCS Range training modules, ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of training materials.
• Prepare the range for live-action team events, ensuring that all systems are operational and participants are adequately supported.
• Assist with the creation of a social media plan for the ARCS Range, promoting awareness and engagement among target audiences.
• Perform other duties as assigned, focused on ARCS Range operation, maintenance, and requirements.
