Job summary

IDS International is seeking a Computer Systems Engineer I to design and operate cyber range environments, supporting training, testing, and missions for governmental clients. The role covers architecting physical, virtual, and cloud networks, with emphasis on automation, virtualization, and multi-OS administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• DoD 8140.03 IAT II requirements.
• Active Secret security clearance required.
• 3+ years of cyber range or computer test bed experience.
• Experience designing and configuring networks including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, Active Directory, VPNs, VLANs, SANs using bare metal and virtualized systems.
• Automation and configuration management using Ansible, Chef, FOG, Python, Bash.
• Cloud, physical, and virtual network architecture, engineering, and monitoring.
• Hypervisors: VMware, KVM, Xen.
• Windows and Linux server engineering and administration.
• Knowledge of vulnerabilities and mitigations.
• Experience with camera systems, IC/SCADA, IoT, RF devices.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain cyber range and test bed environments.
• Architect and support physical, virtual, and cloud networks.
• Configure routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, AD, VPNs, VLANs, SANs.
• Deploy and maintain bare metal and virtualized systems.
• Develop automation, provisioning, imaging, orchestration, and CM solutions.
• Utilize Ansible, Chef, FOG, Python, Bash for admin and deployment.
• Engineer and administer VMware, KVM, Xen virtualization.
• Manage Windows and Linux servers.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot infrastructure.
• Address vulnerabilities and mitigate threats.
• Support integration of camera, IC/SCADA, IoT, RF technologies.
