Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Product Manager to join on a 12+ months contract in McLean, VA. The role blends product management with cyber security leadership, collaborating with engineering and security teams in a hybrid work setting.

You will drive cyber network security initiatives, translate strategy into product artifacts, and guide cross-functional efforts to close security gaps while delivering value to the business.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cybersecurity or IT
• 4+ years in cyber product management
• 4+ years with cloud-based or on-prem security products (WAF, DDoS, NGFW, VPN, SWG)
• 4+ years of technical writing and translating strategy into artifacts
• 4+ years of hands-on JIRA experience
• Experience in cyber Merger & Acquisition and regulated financial services environments

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to communicate and drive cyber security integration goals
• Develop technical artifacts assessing security gaps and recommendations
• Coordinate remediation of gaps in policies, standards and procedures
• Lead integration of security applications supporting cyber intent and best practices
• Support engineering teams with system knowledge to deliver value
• Represent customer voice to engineering and stakeholders
• Act as a technical advisor to the product lead and teams
• Collaborate across multiple teams in Agile ceremonies
• Maintain credibility with technology partners

Job description

Immediate need for a talented Cyber Product Manager. This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Mclean, VA(Hybrid).

Pay Range: $75/hr - $85/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with cross-functional teams to clearly communicate and drive implementation of cyber network security integration intents
• Leverage strong technical writing skills to develop comprehensive technical artifacts assessing network security integration gaps and recommend closure solutions
• Coordinate and lead the remediation of internally assessed Gaps in Policies, Standards and Procedures between the newly joined organization
• Coordinate and lead the integration of Application Convergences, supporting Cyber Intent and best-practice security standards for the newly joined organization
• Leverage technical knowledge and skills on how systems work and how code is built to effectively support engineering teams in delivering value
• Utilize strong cybersecurity background and customer insights to represent the voice of the customer to the engineering team(s)
• Act as a technical advisor to the product lead, engineering, and other stakeholders
• Collaborate across multiple cross-functional teams and play a key role in Agile ceremonies
• Maintain technical and risk credibility and with partners across our technology organization

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Documentation
• Cyber Security/Network Security
• At least 8 years of experience working in cybersecurity or information technology
• At least 4 years of experience in cyber product management
• At least 4 years of experience working with major cloud based or on-prem network security products (WAF, Bot Protection, DDoS Mitigation, NetSeg, NGFW, IPS/IDS, VPN, SWG, Proxy, or DBCP)
• 4+ years of experience solving cyber technical challenges
• 4+ years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into products or written artifacts
• 4+ years of experience in technical writing
• 4+ years of hands-on JIRA experience
• Experience in a cybersecurity Merger & Acquisition
• Experience in regulated financial services organizations and/or tech companies
• Professional certifications (SAFe PM/PO, Security+, CCSP, CISA, CRISC, AWS Cloud Practitioner, PMP)
