Job summary

SOC LLC is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist for a long term contract at Camp Lejeune, NC. You will secure information systems, enforce security standards, and ensure compliance with Government requirements for security on these systems.

The role requires Active Secret clearance, Day 1 CompTIA Sec+ CE, and DoD 8570 IAT Level II. You will perform HBSS compliance, incident handling, and support COOP/DR planning in a challenging federal environment.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance with Sec+ CE required on day 1.
• Minimum 3–5 years of general IT experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required.
• Background investigation, drug screen, and COVID safety compliance required.

Responsibilities

SOC is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist for a long term contract role in Camp Lejeune, NC.

Job Description

You will operate all aspects of Information Systems (IS) data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation. Implement and monitor security measures for communication systems, networks, and provide advice that systems and personnel adhere to established security standards and Governmental requirements for security on these systems. Perform defensive cyber operation duties including, but not limited to, ensuring workstation and server compliancy with Marine Corps McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS) requirements; identifying cybersecurity incidents. Execute Government approved security policies, plans, and procedures; implement data network security measures; operate and monitor network intrusion detection and forensic systems; conduct IS security incident handling; support Continuity of Operations Plan/Disaster Recovery (COOP/DR) plans; and perform certification of IS and networks.

Minimum Required Education Level

High school Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)

Minimum 3-5 Years Experience in General IT

Minimum DOD 8570 Level

Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II
