Peraton in Maryland is seeking a Cyber IT Specialist, 2nd Shift to join the Federal Strategic Cyber Group. You will monitor enterprise tools, triage incidents, and ensure continuity of operations while maintaining strong communication with the Shift Lead.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ IT operations or cybersecurity support experience, plus professional certs such as CASP+ CE, CCNA‑Security, or CISSP (or Associate). U.S. citizenship and clearance eligibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 2 years IT ops or cybersecurity support experience.
• Professional certification such as CASP+ CE, CCNA‑Security, or CISSP (or Associate).
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools for incident and request management.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Splunk, SolarWinds).
• Understanding of incident response processes and escalation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Splunk dashboards, SolarWinds, and notify the Shift Lead of issues.
• Create, update, audit ServiceNow tickets for incidents and requests.
• Perform initial triage and troubleshooting to restore operations.
