Job summary

PMAT is seeking a highly experienced Cyber Engineer to support the design, automation, security, administration, and sustainment of secure mission-critical environments across development, production, classified, cloud, containerized, and DevSecOps-enabled systems.

The role focuses on improving software and infrastructure security posture through vulnerability management, automated security pipelines, container hardening, system hardening, and compliance support throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience supporting cybersecurity engineering and related roles.
• Experience in enterprise, cloud, containerized, hybrid, classified environments.
• Experience with vulnerability management, system hardening, patching, and access control.
• Experience with Linux and Windows Server administration and secure configuration.
• Experience with scripting and IaC to support security operations.
• Experience with DevSecOps pipelines and automated security scanning.
• Understanding of RMF, NIST SP 800-53, DISA STIGs, secure SDLC and authorization activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication to explain risks and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and improve security automation pipelines within DevSecOps environments.
• Support vulnerability management across production, development, cloud, containerized, and classified environments.
• Manage Plans of Action and Milestones for security findings and remediation progress.
• Develop mitigations for identified vulnerabilities via secure configuration and hardening.
• Support the design, administration, and sustainment of secure infrastructure stacks across Linux/Windows.
• Implement and remediate controls aligned with RMF, NIST SP 800-53, DISA STIGs, and other requirements.
• Utilize scripting, IaC, and automation tools to streamline builds, patching, and compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and communicate risks and recommendations.
