Job summary

PeopleTec, Inc. is seeking a Cyber Engineer in Huntsville, AL to join a dynamic team delivering missile defense modeling and simulation technologies.

The role focuses on cloud security operations and DevSecOps across hybrid clouds, with access to state-of-the-art system-of-systems frameworks. The ideal candidate has AWS/Azure knowledge, Python scripting, and containerization experience, plus an active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Electrical Engineering with 2 years professional experience; or Master’s degree with no professional experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required; candidate must be a U.S. citizen and able to maintain clearance.
• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and scripting in Python.
• Hands-on containerization experience (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, Rancher).
• Experience working in classified networks and DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud and container security operations.
• Secure IaaS environments; implement continuous authorization (cATO).
• Integrate DevSecOps practices across hybrid cloud platforms.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced team and contribute to defensive operations and RMF/ STIG efforts.
