Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Crane NSWC site in Crane, IN. You will lead RMF package updates in eMASS, perform assessments, draft POA&Ms, and support continuous monitoring.

You will bridge the software development and ISSM teams, analyze security logs, and apply security engineering principles to harden designs and defenses. DoD Secret clearance is required, with sponsorship by SAIC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IA/SE with 5+ years experience; Master's with 3+ years.
• Must meet IASAE Level II baseline requirements.
• Must obtain/maintain DoD Secret Clearance; Interim Secret to start; SAIC will sponsor clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead RMF package development, updates and submission in government repositories (e.g., eMASS).

Candidates will be required to:

• Lead the development, update, and submission of the RMF packages inside government repositories (e.g., eMASS).
• Conducts security control assessments, draft Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and maintains system continuous monitoring strategies.
• Performs automated and manual vulnerability assessments using tools like ACAS (Nessus) and SCAP.
• Serves as the primary bridge between the software development/systems engineering team and the Information System Security Manager (ISSM).
• Assists in analyzing security logs, detecting anomalies, and providing system-level technical support during incident response or forensic investigations.
• Applies system security engineering principles to implement secure designs, secure configurations, and boundary defenses (firewalls, IDS/IPS, access controls).

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, System Engineering, or a related technical discipline and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience.
• Must meet theIASAE Level IIbaseline qualification requirements.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain full DoD Secret Clearance. Interim Secret required to start. SAIC will sponsor clearance.
