Job summary

Leidos in Maryland is seeking a Mid-Shift Cyber Security Watch Officer (CSWO) to join the DJOC Network Assurance team on the DISA GSM-O II program at Ft. Meade.

The role focuses on event triage, incident handling, threat detection, and situational awareness across DoD networks. Candidates must hold a BA and 4+ years of experience, TS/SCI clearance, and DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification with CSSP-A within 180 days.

Qualifications

• BA degree and 4+ years of experience.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 (Security+ CE or equivalent) and CSSP-A within 180 days.
• Willing to perform Shift Work –Sunday-Wednesday.
• CND experience in a Computer Incident Response organization.
• Understanding of life cycle of network threats and Cyber Kill Chain.
• Work independently and in a team with deep technical knowledge.
• Experience in a 24x7 environment.
• Experience recognizing situational awareness indicators and judging potential mission impact.

Responsibilities

• Support the DJOC Battle Captain on Cyber Defense and Network Assurance issues.
• Provide technical oversight of information security services and KM tools (CMDNet, KM tools).
• Analyze operational reporting and deliver daily situational awareness and updates.
• Report DCO and incident management responses to intrusions and cyber events.
• Maintain awareness of directives and deliver daily briefings to DISA leadership.
• Oversee network defence operations and coordinate with internal DISA elements and partners.
• Identify problems and generate actionable technical recommendations for leadership.
• Ensure DoD incident handling reporting procedures are followed.
• Serve as Senior Defensive Cybersecurity SME during 24x7 operations.
