Job summary

Google, via Mandiant, seeks a Cyber Defense Consultant to build and maintain technologies, data sets, and metrics enabling actionable reporting for cyber defense initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver recommendations for the client’s Cyber Defense Center.

The role involves creating dashboards, correlating data, and communicating findings to improve security posture across engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related technical field.
• 3 years configuring and maintaining SOAR technologies as part of Security Engineering or similar.
• 3 years writing reports for executive leadership and technical audiences.
• 3 years of data analytics for metrics/reports or business intelligence.
• 2 years working with cyber defense teams in an operational environment (SOC/CIRT/Blue Team).

Responsibilities

• Develop SIEM dashboards and synthesize security data to drive operational metrics.
• Apply security architecture and automation knowledge to improve cyber defense operations.
• Present timely findings to stakeholders and guide defense initiatives.
• Operationalize threat intelligence across functions to address key threats.
• Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to resolve security issues quickly.
