Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is hosting a CA Center for Cyber Defenders (CCD) R&D Undergraduate Summer Intern in Livermore, CA. The role focuses on cybersecurity research, software/hardware development, and data analysis under guidance from Sandia experts, with opportunities in machine learning, reverse engineering, and virtualization.

The internship targets undergraduates in science/engineering/math with a 3.0+ GPA, capable of 40-hour weeks and eligible for U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program
• Pursuing a science, engineering, or math major
• GPA minimum 3.0/4.0
• Able to work up to 40 hours per week during summer
• Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. citizenship for security clearance

Responsibilities

• Assist with software/hardware development, data analysis and machine learning, reverse engineering, and virtualization
• Collaborate with Sandia cybersecurity experts to address real-world national security problems
