Job summary

SMS DATA PRODUCTS GROUP, INC in the United States is seeking a Cyber Defense Operator to join the DCO Hunt and Assess Crew with rotating shifts. You will monitor networks in near real-time, analyze IDS/IPS/SIEM data, and triage incidents to support AF mission operations.

Requires DoD TS/SCI clearance, GCFA certification, and five years of cyber defense experience. You will work with cross-functional teams to maintain mission readiness and produce incident reports.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of cyber defense operations or related DoD/IC experience.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required.
• GCFA certification within 120 days of hire.
• Knowledge of Cyber Kill Chain, MITRE ATT&CK, and NIST 800-series.
• Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct near real-time network security monitoring and intrusion detection analysis.
• Review IDS/IPS alerts per OI and checklists.
• Monitor hosts, analyze events, and triage incidents.
• Maintain procedures for monitoring hosts/systems.
• Correlate events with network data and DoD resources.
• Record activity details in the CMS for investigations.
• Escalate incidents using established policies and procedures.
• Generate end-of-mission reports and brief hijack crew on findings.
