Abacus Technology Corporation seeks a Cyber Security Operations Controller to provide network security support for the AFCENT NOSC at Shaw AFB. This full-time role focuses on monitoring, incident triage, and security reporting to protect AFCENT/USCENTCOM networks.

The candidate will perform trend analysis, correlate unusual activity, and help develop countermeasures to contain intrusions while maintaining compliance with security policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in cyber and network operations.
• Associate’s degree in a related field or higher is required; additional years may substitute for degree.
• Must be Security+ certified and Network+ or CCNA certified.
• Must hold ITIL Foundations certification or obtain within 60 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Conduct network security monitoring and incident triage using AFCENT/USCENTCOM tools (IDS/IPS, firewall, proxy, router, HBSS logs).
• Enter event data into mission support systems and produce security reports.
• Perform trend analysis of authorized and unauthorized activity.
• Correlate unusual activity across AFCENT/USCENTCOM and validate region-specific events.
• Assist in developing countermeasures to isolate and contain intrusions.
