Job summary

Abacus Technology seeks a Systems/Network Technician to support the AFCENT NOSC at Shaw AFB in a 24/7/365 environment. You will troubleshoot LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and PKI-enabled systems while maintaining security controls and incident response.

The role requires CCNA, security certification, ITIL Foundations, DoD 8570 IAT II, and a 3-year background in enterprise IT. US citizenship and eligibility for a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in systems and network support.
• Associate's degree required; additional experience may substitute for degree.
• Must hold Security certification per DoD 8570 IAT Level II.
• CCNA certification required; ITIL Foundations or equivalent within 60 days of hire.
• Experience with Windows servers, Active Directory, storage, performance management and server maintenance.
• Experience with LAN/WAN support and firewall administration.
• Ability to work in a 24/7/365 environment and travel for TDY as needed.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 enterprise IT help desk support to deployed personnel.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents on routers, switches, servers, firewalls, proxies and caching arrays.
• Monitor performance metrics and identify anomalies.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers for analysis.
• Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, AD, PKI and related services.
• Install, patch and maintain server and network OSes across UNIX and Windows platforms.
• Support DoD cybersecurity programs and incident response.
