Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Cyber Defense Analyst for a joint Contractor-Government Cyber Protection Team at Ft. Meade, MD. Key duties include IDS/IPS configuration, sensor integration, threat analysis, malware triage, and cyber threat emulation to assess defensive posture.

Required TS/SCI with CI poly (poly completed within 5 years) and IAT Level III; GIAC or Offensive Security certifications are desired. Target salary range: $120,001–$160,000 with typical experience-based compensation.

Qualifications

• BS and nine (9) years or more experience; four (4) years additional in lieu of degree
• Digital Forensics of Windows, Linux and networking devices
• Incident Response Team experience in detecting containment and recovery
• SOC Analyst Tier 2/3 expertise in investigating threats and refining procedures
• Cyber Protection Team knowledge and proactive defense measures

Responsibilities

• Configuration, management, and optimization of intrusion detection systems for host and network
• Integrate and manage network sensors
• Threat analysis using various sources to identify threats
• Design deployable network kits for seamless integration and optimal performance
• Malware triage and cyber threat emulation to assess posture
• Threat hunting to identify advanced persistent threats
• Technical writing to document findings and security recommendations
